Unfortunately, he can't remember what it was because he has been transformed into a cockroach. Featuring more than 800 scenes to explore, laced with puzzles, bugs, and dirt, Bad Mojo is an ambitious adventure game of epic proportions, especially from the perspective of a roach. In Bad Mojo, you must assume the role of Samms and crawl your way through Eddie's bar, listening and watching out for any clues about what just happened and figuring out how to get yourself back to normal. Right then and there, he mutated into a cockroach. As Samms picked up the medallion, he began to transform into someone or something else. In his haste, though, he forgot something-a precious, mysterious medallion. However, he planned on leaving that night so he packed his bags and began to head out the door on his way to fame. Samms had been living in an apartment on top of Eddie's bar. If you are not easily disgusted, though, you will likely find Bad Mojo one of the most original adventure games you'll have ever played.Roger Samms, an entomologist, was just about to gain the recognition for which he yearned. It is probably NOT for everyone due to a disturbing focus and some downright disgusting graphics.
Overall, Bad Mojo offers a unique premise, great graphics, and inventive gameplay that provides plenty of thought-provoking puzzles without an inventory (hey, you are a roach)- making it a must-play for all adventure gamers.
Movie snippets appear throughout the game to provide clues and move the plot along. The acting is over-the-top, but tolerable. Gameplay is restricted to the moving cursors (but hey, you are a roach), but there are many ingenious puzzles that require thought, intuition, and astute observation. No doubt one of the most unique and disturbing an adventure ever, Bad Mojo's premise is refreshingly original: you are a misanthropic, selfish young man who's turned into a cockroach by the powers that be, to put yourself "in others' shoes," euphemistically speaking.
